Introduction
The Peninsula Precinct Masterplan forms a 20-year vision and framework for the development of the Monash University Peninsula campus.
The project is based on a focused engagement process, instrumental in shaping the vision, principles and strategies behind the scheme.
The winner of this project is Lyons Architecture, NMBW, Glas & Aecom. Their proposal envisages the Peninsula campus as an evolving and vibrant ‘hillside’ university town, defined by the unique relationship between its compelling native landscape and topography, and its world-leading, next-generation learning environments. The proposal coordinates all site information, functional requirements and organisational objectives into a deliverable plan for cohesive, inclusive and considered development.
Winning Design
“The masterplan displays depth of thought both in the editing and refinement of the existing landscape, and in understanding the key strategic requirements for that landscape to evolve.”
