The Competition
CityLab assisted the City of Greater Geelong develop a competition process for a new Civic Precinct that will bring together City employees from seven central Geelong offices to drive collaboration, reduce costs, and future-proof the City’s workplace needs. The total budget for the precinct is $91 million and will be largely funded through the sale of surplus City assets.

COX Architecture was the Winner of the Competition, their design being noted for innovative and sustainable timber structured buildings and an efficient design.

It is expected that the project’s construction will be complete in 2022.
